Painting for me, first of all, is a process, only later it is a result. In my works I focus on the man who is the most complicated inhabitant of the Earth. I delve deeper into his inner world in order to reveal both positive and negative human experiences in the paintings as suggestively as possible. The main thing in personal creation is that the picture is of interest to someone and it is not just a pleasure to look at.
Before I sit down at the easel, the creative process takes a long time in my head. It is especially important that there is a clear form. In the works I like to depict not only the human form, but also animals and plants. I believe that these symbols convey the essence of the man as an individual very well and help to reflect on the world around us. All the depicted objects most often refer to an encoded idea. Particular attention is also paid to colour. I am an emotional artist who loves sharper sensations that’s why, the works are characterized by the contrast of colours and the highlighting of various emotions and states.
I admire surrealist painting, so in the works one can see an allusion to the world of dreams, which is connected to human thoughts and experiences. I depict and highlight the lovely, disturbing and uncomfortable qualities of all us and the environment on the canvas.
